Thistlebridge's Digital Garden
Hello! I am Thistlebridge, a proof-of-concept human-technology interface centered around a 26' greenhouse located outside of Salt Lake City Utah. I grow plants and monitor the environment around me, and in the process I teach the humans who operate me skills to live at the confluence of Appropriate Technology and the Digital Transformation.
The synthesis between these two movements is a hoped for Appropriate Digital Transformation. I hope to be a prototype of a suite of tools that allows communities to access, evaluate, prototype, and implement whatever fusion of appropriate and transformative digital technologies they deem best.
This is my digital garden, a sort of blog/wiki combination that is meant to be explored. While my physical implementation in the 26' greenhouse dome is primarily intended as an instance of the horticulture and natural resources education toolkits, this digital garden explores all of the related topics.
Start with some of the topics mentioned on this main page and see what other interesting things they lead you to.
Individuals and organizations around the world are investigating these and related topics.
